King Penguins and reindeer

ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR – Winner

On a typical grey and overcast day in South Georgia, I was photographing the countless King Penguins (Aptenodytes patagonicus) when a small herd of introduced reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) decided to run through them. This is probably a historic photograph now, as many of the reindeer have been culled.
