Adelie Penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae)


I was experimenting with a new lens that allowed for a very shallow depth of field. Adelie Penguins are very curious; I sat near on rocks near a colony hoping I would attract attention. When I did, I focused on the distinctive white ring around its eye and pressed the shutter.
