Crocodilefish portrait

BLACK AND WHITE

I took this portrait of a Crocodilefish (Cymbacephalus beauforti) while scuba diving in the waters around Komodo Island in Indonesia, an area renowned for the richness and diversity of its marine life. I took the original photograph in colour, but the black and white conversion really highlights the direct eye contact and intricate patterning of this beautiful fish.
