Snow Gums

Photographed from the spectacular Razorback Trail that links Mount Feathertop with Mount Hotham, the stark white branches of burnt Snow Gums (Eucalyptus pauciflora) dominate the landscape of alpine country previously ravaged by wildfire. At the end of my hike the ridges lined up nicely to provide an abstract pattern for this photograph.
