Red-necked Stint (Calidris ruficollis)


It made me angry! A little wader landed near me on the Swan River foreshore. Watching it hobbling around, it was clear that one leg was crippled. The bird was carrying three different bands – surely an unreasonable burden for a tiny bird that migrates to Siberia?
