Peacock Spider love dance

Each spring the 4–5mm-long Australian male Peacock Spider woos females by shaking his legs and showing off a pair of brightly coloured flaps, a display lasting seconds that few people have ever witnessed. This image captures perfectly all elements of this courtship dance – its shapes, colours and drama.
