Casualty on the frog and toad

OUR IMPACT

Mammals and birds are conspicuous casualties on the road, but if you stop to look closer, particularly on rainy nights, it’s alarming to see huge numbers of squashed frogs. I found this Green Treefrog (Litoria caerulea) on the road at a creek crossing – it was still alive and hopped away weakly.
