Before we mate (Loggerhead Turtle courting ritual)

THREATENED SPECIES

During Loggerhead Turtle mating, some would approach head to head and touch before getting down to the task at hand. Shot against the light at dusk, the surf spray appears as golden streaks as this pair indulges in that courting ritual. I was tempting fate at this slow shutter speed but the light was fast running out.
