Amphipods on solitary hydroid


Tiny solitary hydroids clutch precariously to a rocky reef and sway to and fro in the current collecting food. This family of Amphipods had colonised this hydroid, sharing the wild ride. They were almost invisible to the naked eye. It was only once the image was processed that their true beauty emerged.
