Wagtail attack on Osprey

ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR

Two Wagtails worked as a team to attack this Osprey. The Wagtail in the image was the more aggressive one, being so persistent in its attacks that it actually drew blood – note the black spot on the Osprey’s head. Each attack would last for approximately 20 minutes. In the end, the Osprey surrendered and flew away.
