Banksia sessilis, commonly known as Parrot Bush, is endemic to Western Australia. This prickly and hardy plant tolerates both drought and frost, and can grow up to six metres high. It flowers frequently throughout the year and is very popular among Parrots and Honeyeaters. This photograph was taken indoors, using studio lights.
