Pandanus in snow

BOTANICAL

I spent a magical day photographing the variety of fascinating shapes and colours of Pandani plants around Lake Dobson, but longed to see them surrounded by snow. It wasn’t until I climbed higher that I found this specimen (Richea pandanifolia) popping its colourful foliage out of the snow, just as I had envisioned!
