Azure Kingfisher

While watching Platypuses, we noticed some Azure Kingfishers (Alcedo azurea) following them. Kingfishers take advantage of Platypuses’ digging to feed in turn. This one landed on a bridge support waiting for a Platypus to come. Since seeing this Azure Kingfisher, I think that our European Kingfisher looks green instead of blue!
